RocketDock brought to you by Punk Labs

So there are some of us here that are really pro-Windows users, but deep down in your heart you are wishing you had a dock like the one Macintosh users get to play around with all the time. But then, you do not want to be over spending on a Macintosh that is probably over-priced in Malaysia, and spending too much time trying to get used to a Macintosh if you really do migrate your workstation from a Windows to a Mac. Let's not forget, Macs can get pretty unfriendly for users who have probably been on a Windows since they started using a pc.

The solution - some great guys at Punk Labs decided to make Mac's ever popular dock availabe for Windows users. It's called RocketDock. That's not all. It's free (i.e. you don't pay a single dime unlike a pricey Mac), and it is user-friendly and fast.

Check out the screenshot I took from my desktop:

I installed it, and initially did not expect much since I thought it probably wouldn't be good or it may take up alot of resources. To my surprise, it is fast, hardly takes up any resources, and highly customisable in terms of colours, themes and size.

For those looking for some convenience to executing programs from the dock rather than having to go back to the 'start' button all the time, RocketDock is a must-have!

hiatus!

After having been online on the ~Path of Time~ since 2006..... it is going to be hard, painful and sad. As of today, I will officially stop writing on the ~Path of Time~. For those who have continued to read my posts, I thank you very much for taking timeout to read my posts. I am not sure if all my writings were great but I'll be happy to know even if it was only one post that reached your heart. I may one day pick up from where I left off here but only time will tell. Who knows I might even start afresh? Until next time.......... time stops ticking for the ~Path of Time~

one foot in the past, another in the future........ what about the present?

All of us go through a cycle, what we commonly call - the past, present and the future. It can probably be summed up by this simple phrase: " we come from the past to be in the present and look forward to the future ". Now, what I want you to do is take a step back, or just give your mind a minute or two to digest the above mentioned phrase. Ask yourself if it applies to you. Really ask yourself; and I mean REALLY ask yourself in the most honest of manner, whether it really applies to you. You may find it difficult to arrive at a 'yes' and even if you do, you probably find yourself in a paralysis state of mind trying to justify the 'yes'. If you really ponder about it, you are likely to find that most of us would find this phrase more relevant instead: " we come from the past and look forward to the future " You will find many of us either hang on to the past or look far too forward into the future, or likely for some to even be dwelling too much in ...

Fed Ex your documents??

At the client's place today, had heaps to do and it did not turn out easy. Most of us will probably be thinking the client was difficult to work with. On the contrary, they are pretty nice people around the office - definitely a ++ point! Buuuuutttt ........... trying to get documents is a big hassle. I am talking about MASSIVE hassle here. Apparently, their main office is in Singapore so they decided to ship all the documents up into Malaysia. And I mean they really couriered all their documents in 30kg boxes - using FedEx! In short, I pretty much spent at least, at least three quarter of the day digging into boxes in search of those documents so important to my job (in case you don't know, auditing requires heaps of documentation!). --------talk about work stops here before I bore you further------- Good night!
